In their descent from the Allegheny Mountains of eastern West Virginia, the Holly River and its tributaries have carved a rugged landscape of dense forest and waterfall now protected as part of Holly River State Park. Ten rustic cabin, primitive camping areas, and an 88-unit campground that accommodates tent and RV camping welcome overnight guests to this remote corner of the Mountain State. Game courts, a trout pond, a museum, a restaurant, a swimming pool, and more than 40 miles if hiking trail have earned the park accolades among lovers of the outdoors.
